Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a bright, motivated, and confident Area Sales Manager to gain invaluable skills working within an exciting construction/plant hire and sales organisation.

The Company

Our client is a most reputable and respected Global Company providing a range of plant hire equipment including high quality Plant, Powered Access, Telehandlers, Platforms, Dumpers and Forklifts and much more to the Construction sector on a national scale.

The company have grown into a market leading name through first rate customer service, investing heavily in the latest hi-tech equipment, as well as bringing on board experienced and professionally trained engineers, management and sales staff.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be tasked with developing new business and managing existing major accounts across the North London/Home Counties area.

Targeted on material handling equipment you will be responsible for driving revenue/profit within your territory, regularly meeting KPIs, generating and chasing all of your own leads along with managing your own diary and appointments. Although this is a home based role you will be required to visit the office once a week.

The Candidate

You will need previous experience selling plant machinery for hire including material handling equipment and will ideally have previous dealings/contacts within your area.

The Ideal Candidate

A flexible approach, able to multi-task when required, have a strong technical aptitude to assist you when selling products – whilst at all times offering customer-focused, friendly advice and technical support whenever it is required.

Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager

To gain a clear understanding of customers business and their requirements and manage territory efficiently.
Arrange presentations, proposals and quotations.
Achieve and exceed allocated sales targets.
Successfully manage your territory to optimize all business opportunities.
Liaise with other members of the sales team.

Requirements of the Area Sales Manager

Able to demonstrate strong sales background.
A proven track record of working in the Construction, Plant, Powered Access, or Access Platforms.
PC literate.
Customer focused.
Excellent communication both written and verbally.
Be self motivated and determined to succeed.
Driving Licence max 6 points.
